Todd A. Taylor

May 4, 1963 — January 27, 2023

Todd Anthony Taylor, 59, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 at his home. He was born on May 4, 1963 in Port Clinton, the son of the late Dale Sr. and Shirley (Annon) Taylor. On May 3, 1986 he married Kimberly Till at St. Paul’s Church in Oak Harbor, Ohio and she survives.

Todd was a graduate of Port Clinton High School class of 1981. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he started working at United States Gypsum Company where he eventually became foreman and retired in 2020 after 34 years.

Todd enjoyed camping, golfing, fishing, cornhole and was a devoted Ohio State football and Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed cheering them on with some of his favorite people at the In and Out Bar. You would never find him turning down a good time or his beverage of choice, a Busch latte. During the holiday seasons, he graciously obliged his wife and was truly the electrical engineer of their outdoor light and yard inflatables display. He loved eating sugar cookies from a family recipe and would always accept a Dove chocolate.

Todd was the anchor of his family. He had the most selfless nature and go with the flow attitude. He was a devoted husband and a proud father. He was the best listener and a loyal friend. There is nothing that brought a bigger smile to his face than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He did not have a judgmental bone in his body and to know him was truly to love him.

Survivors include his loving wife, Kimberly; daughters, Ashley (Jordan Garza) Taylor and Brittany (Greg Munoz) Taylor; sister, Debbie Porter; brother, Dale Jr. (Karen) Taylor; brother-in-law, Michael (Reba) Rose; sister-in-law, Kendra (Dan Segel) Rose; mother-in-law, Marcia Rose; grandchildren, Makenna, Charlotte, Cohen, and Lincoln; beloved dogs, Riley and Bailey; nieces, Samantha (Brady) Krupp, Justine (Ryan) McNair, Jessica and Jennifer Goodhand, Kailee Rose, Elle Segel; nephews, Jordan Taylor, Brayden Rose, Owen and Tate Segel, many beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale Sr. and Shirley Taylor; sister, Diana Marie Taylor; father-in-law, Ken Rose; grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 3 pm until a Time for Sharing at 6 pm with Military honors being conducted by members of the US Navy.
