Timothy M. Wagner

Timothy M. Wagner, age 71, of Sylvania, died Saturday evening, April 12, 2014 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born August 30, 1942 in Toledo to the late Leonard T. and Martha Ann Shadd Wagner. Tim graduated from St. Francis DeSales High School in 1960 and was employed with various construction companies over a 30-year period including Bentley, Bechtel and Lathrop. Following retirement, he worked at St. Francis DeSales High School as a custodian for several years. Tim was a member of the former St. Agnes Catholic Church and currently a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, golfing and was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers. A devoted husband and father, Tim also enjoyed attending his grandchildrens activities. He will be remembered for his creative mind and unique sense of humor. Surviving are his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Kathleen Czelusta Wagner; children, John Dawn Wagner, Kathleen L. Kevin Kerce, Kristen Matt Fisher, Shawn Ray, Timothy Holly Wagner II and Erin Ryan Szenderski; thirteen beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Brittani, Ashley, Michael, Nicholas, Andrew, Quinn, Carson, Zackary, Maddox, Luke, Annabel and Adalyn; great granddaughter, Paisley; brother, Leonard Mike Merilee Wagner; and sister-in-law, Lola Wagner. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David and nephew, David. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where vigil services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Services will begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in the funeral home and proceed to St. Josephs Church, 5373 S. Main Street, Sylvania, for 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass. Interment will follow. Memorials are suggested to St. Francis De Sales High School, 2323 W. Bancroft Street, Toledo, OH 43607.
