The Lord called Timothy Lee Tank (55 of Graytown, Ohio) home Tuesday, February 16, 2016. While on vacation in Jamaica, Tim was SCUBA diving and experienced a medical emergency resulting in his death. Tim had a passion for life and his family takes great comfort knowing he passed doing something he loved in one of his favorite places in this world. Tim was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 4, 1960 to Clyde and Frances (Johns) Tank. He married Rebecca (Pfeiffer) on November 9, 1979. Tim made a career out of his love for farming over the past 36 years. He joined Allen-Clay Joint Fire District Station #1 in 1990 and took command as Battalion Chief in 2013. Tim was a hard worker who took pride in doing things the right way. He was a clever engineer, carpenter, woodworker, and all around handyman who didn’t hesitate to help anyone. Tim easily made friends wherever he went and could always find a reason to celebrate. His smile was contagious and his laugh could fill a room. Tim enjoyed doing projects with his sons, spending time with his grandson, traveling with his wife and friends, watching the sunset, SCUBA diving, Buckeye athletics, and sharing a good meal. Tim was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His deeply rooted faith was evident in the way he lived his life with selfless devotion to his family, friends, and the community he served. Tim is dearly missed, but his legacy will live through everyone who knew him. Toast in celebration of his life and have just one more for Tank. Tim was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Tank; step father, Rev. Thomas Wilson; and friend, Keith Snider. Tim is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Rebecca; sons, Jason (Stephanie) and Justin (Kerri); grandchildren, Owen and Baby Girl due May 2016; mother, Fran Wilson; brother, Jeff (Jackie); step brother, Tom Wilson; step sister, Peggy Wilson; in-laws, Ron Ann Pfeiffer and Bob Judy Brown; niece, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist. Station #2, 3155 N. Genoa Clay Center Rd., Genoa. A memorial service and celebration of Tim’s life will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 26, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Church, 21140 W. Toledo St., Williston, immediately followed by the Allen-Clay Joint Fire District Fireman’s service. Interment will follow in Allen Township Cemetery. Following the services, a luncheon will be shared at Station #2 on Genoa Clay Center Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials for Tim be directed to Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist.
