Timothy John Medford, 68, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the University of Michigan Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on October 12, 1956, in Toledo, Ohio, to Bernard and Fay Medford, Tim was a larger-than-life figure known for his authenticity, likability, and unparalleled charisma. A gifted storyteller and salesman, he captivated audiences both personally and professionally. Tim traveled the country for trade shows, where his charm and genuine nature left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.
An avid sports fan, Tim’s passion for wrestling defined much of his life. He wrestled for St. Francis de Sales High School from 1970 to 1974, earning a proud 4th-place finish in the State of Ohio during his senior year. His love for sports continued to bring joy and connection throughout his life.
Tim is survived by his son Ian Medford-Gonzalez, brothers Dan Medford (Lisa) and Doug Medford, and sisters Carol Medford and Paula Ison (Brandon). Their lives are richer for having known his warmth and spirit. A special shout-out to Tim’s niece, Amanda Ison, and her partner, Rob Sielski, who provided unwavering care, housing, meals, and managed his medical needs with love and dedication.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 10 am to 1 pm, with a service beginning at 1 pm at Walker Funeral Home (5155 W. Sylvania Ave). Following the service, a gathering will be held at Carmel’s on Tremainsville Road to celebrate Tim’s life. Tim’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
