Timothy Kronbach

Timothy James Kronbach (68) passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 3, 2026. He was born August 3, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio to James and Eugenia (Burns) Kronbach, the second of four children.

Tim made many life-long friends in his years of school. He attended elementary school at St. Pius X. He played football and baseball at St. Francis de Sales High School and graduated in 1975. He earned a bachelor's degree in business and marketing at the University of Toledo where he was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity.

Tim met his wife, Kris, in high school. They were married November 21, 1980 and had 7 children over the course of their 46-year marriage.

Tim was employed by Mississippi Polymers where he worked for over 30 years as a vinyl salesman. He traveled weekly visiting customers and making friends with the staff at various Mariott hotels and Chinese restaurants.

Tim was close with his children and their families. Every week he and Kris hosted Sunday dinner, a raucous affair involving lots of laughing and visits to "Grandpa's Office," a place beloved by his grandchildren and "greatly disliked" by his children.

Tim was a consummate DIYer, orchestrating countless projects at his home and those of his family and neighbors. No job was too dangerous (or could be made to be dangerous). He was an enthusiastic (and vocal) attendee of his children's sporting events. He was dedicated to St. Francis football, holding a streak of attending over 200 consecutive games with his sons.

When he wasn't working or spending time with his kids, Tim was praying. Tim devoted his life to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and if he asked you what your goal in life was, the correct answer was "to get to heaven." Tim urged everyone to give all their worries and intentions to Mary to take to her Son, Jesus, because "She'll know what to do. She's the best!" He was a member of St. Joseph Sylvania Parish and frequently attended the Latin Mass at St. Joseph's on Locust Street in Toledo.

Tim is survived by his mother, Jean; his wife, Kristie (Niedermeier); children, Jennifer (Tracy Snyder), Karrie (Joe) Burkart, Erin, Timothy (Kate), Jill, Kevin (Haley), and Sarah (Maxwell) Rudolph; grandchildren, Jack, Maeve, Kamryn, Theodore, Geordi, Timothy "Connor", Luke, Maxwell, Cecilia, Gracelyn, and Josephine (arriving in August); siblings, Vicky Hackman, Kim (Paul) Douglas, and Anne (Louie) Santiago; father-in-law, Norm Niedermeier; sister-in-law, Pam (Lary) Edgell; brothers-in-law Chip, Ken (Armando), and Keith (Michelle) Niedermeier; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, James Kronbach; and mother-in-law, Mary Ann (Van Slambrouck) Niedermeier.

Visitation will be at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 pm, with a Rosary service beginning at 7. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 Main St, Sylvania, OH. Donations may be made to St. Francis de Sales High School.
