Timothy J. Dixon

Timothy J. Dixon passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018. Tim was born January 26, 1942 in Toledo, OH to parents George and Garnet Dixon. Tim was full of life and loved by many. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1964. He enjoyed time with family, golf, playing cards, and has always been very involved in the Catholic Church. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus and a Eucharist minister at various churches as well as Jacaranda Nursing Home. During his youth, Tim enjoyed time with family at Devils Lake, MI where he and his twin brother, Tom, were part of the “Devils Lake Ski Devils”. He loved to sing and dance. He was in the Church Choir, Toledo Barbershop Quartet & Central Catholic Elders Glee Club. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, George & Garnet and nephews Jeff & Joel Dixon. He is survived by his spouse, Mary Dixon; daughter, Dene’ Sanfillipo (James); son, Troy Dixon (Mindi); grandchildren, Maria, Gina, Julia, Taylor and Trent; siblings, Spencer, Thomas, Sue, Cathy, Bill, Connie, and their children. Rest in peace, loving spouse, son, brother, father, grandfather. Visitation will be from 3-9:00pm on Wednesday, May 23rd 2018 at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH. Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Thursday, May 24th at the funeral home with a prayer service followed by a 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 4555 N. Haven Toledo, OH. Interment will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross St. Vincent DePaul Society, 7851 54th Ave. North, St. Petersburg, FL 33709.
