Tim Tribble

Tim Tribble, 69, of Oak Harbor, died Thursday, January 26, 2012, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born October 23, 1942, in Waxahachie, Texas, to Thomas Timothy and Frances Rodgers Tribble. On July 30, 1994, in Marblehead, Ohio, he married Kathleen Holmes, who survives. Tim worked as an electrician, most recently at U.S. Gypsum from 2001-2008. He also worked at Futronics, Radio Shack and Toledo Edison. He was also an electrical instructor at Davis Besse Nuclear Power Station, where he taught electrical theory to the master electricians. During his service in the U.S. Navy, Tim taught at nuclear prototype plants. He also sang in the choir aboard ship and served on submarines. He was a member of the American Legion Post #114 of Oak Harbor and a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Through the church, Tim was an active member of Men In Mission, the dartball team, and the choir. He served as the mascot for three years at Southern Methodist University and they played in the Cotton Bowl during those years. Many of Tims interests included amateur radio, woodworking, reading, and music; he was able to play four different instruments. Tim loved to laugh and tease everyone. In addition to his wife, Kathleen, he survived by his son, Richard Gordon Tribble, grandson, James Tribble, sisters, Libby Diane Gentner, Linda Laura Bradshaw and Frances Elayne Tribble, as well as nieces and nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, son, Thomas Timothy Tribble III, and former wife, Daylene Dillabaugh Tribble. Funeral services for Tim will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2012, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, with visitation from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor with military graveside services conducted by the Oak Harbor American Legion Post #114 and Oak Harbor V.F.W. Post #8732. Memorials may be directed to the family. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory of Oak Harbor has been entrusted with arrangements.
