Thomasina Evelyn Lebay

Thomasina E. Hayward LeBay age 76 of Toledo passed away Wednesday, April; 24, 2013 in Kingston Residence of Sylvania. She was born December 20, 1936 in Toledo to James and Wilma Hayward. She was a graduate of Whitmer High School and was a legal secretary for Reiser and Reiser for over 40 years. Thomasina was a member of Dendarah Court #10 Toledo, Ohio Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America serving as High Priestess in 1978-79. She was a member of Dendarah Chorus since 1978 serving as chorus secretary for many years and was elevated to Chorus Emeritus in 2013. She was also a member of the Royal Order of Jesterettes. She served as Directress of Aibonez Ives in 1988, Royal Directress in 1996-97 and Royal Impresario from 1999-2011. She was honored with her election to Royal Impresario Emeritus in 2012. Lady Thomasina brought much fun and good times to every convention and meeting she attended. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved having family parties and her famous phrase was come early, stay late. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Jacqueline Blackford. Surviving is her husband Kenneth LeBay; sons James Becky Kohn and Kenneth Lisa Kohn; step-son Douglas LeBay; step-daughter Eugenia Thomas Wiles; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and sister Mae Jo Ritchie. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 2-8 PM in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey where Dendarah Court #10 will conduct services at 7 PM. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10 AM in the funeral home followed by interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to Shriners Childrens Hospitals in care of Dendarah Court #10 Ladies Oriental Shrine.
