Thomas Leroy Spinks

Thomas L. Spinks, age 60 of Sylvania, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at ProMedica Flower Hospital in Sylvania.

Tom was born on November 18, 1965 to Patricia Anne Pancurak. He grew up in Erie, PA, where he met and married his beautiful wife, Anna. Tom graduated with his bachelor's degree from Gannon University before earning his PhD in Chemistry from Miami University of Ohio.

Tom worked in Business Development at Tenneco before retiring after 25 years of service.

During Tom's life he had many hobbies. He enjoyed woodworking, many pieces of furniture that he built are still used in the family households. Tom also enjoyed reading, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, listening to music, and could always be found watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play on Sundays. Tom was also an avid sailor and sailed for many years on the Holy Toledo.

Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents; George and Rita Pancurak, his mother, Patricia Pancurak, mother and father-in-law, Assunta and Santo Colao, and brother Kenneth Spinks. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Spinks, children; Michael Spinks, Christopher (Aubry) Spinks, and Julianna Spinks, and grandchildren; Noah and Theodore Spinks.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home; 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania; 5411 Main Street.
