Thomas R. Parks

It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas R. Parks of Perrysburg announces his passing on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the age of 82.

Tom was born to Lytle and Edna (Zehnder) Parks on September 15, 1940. He grew up in the Toledo area and graduated from Rogers High School. Tom married the love of his life Yvonne Keller on March 31, 1962 and together they raised three sons. He worked for Chrysler Corporation for 28 years until his retirement at the age of 54 and was a member of Saint Rose Catholic Church for over 50 years.

He was a talented musician and played guitar during the sixties in a band called “The Upsetters”. He also fondly remembered playing with the well-known Toledo band “Johnny & The Hurricanes”. Tom was most happy spending time with family, enjoying nature, fishing and most of all enjoying a good meal which wasn’t complete without dessert. He was dedicated to his family and had a wonderful sense of humor that his family will never forget.

Tom will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Yvonne; children, Steven (Paige), David (Lynda), James (Aimee); grandchildren, Taylor (David), Madysson (Logan), Riley (Daniel), Hannah, Jaicob, Allyson, Jaxson; great-grandchildren, Cole, Grant and Carson; and numerous other family members and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Lytle and Edna Parks.

A visitation will be held at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St. Perrysburg (419-874-3133) on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 3-7 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7 P.M. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 10:30 a.m., at Saint Rose Catholic Church, 215 E Front St., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
