Thomas E Mcgrail

Thomas E. McGrail, 79, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 22, 1937 to Francis and Doris (Bastian) McGrail. Tom graduated from Macomber High School. He received his undergraduate business degree as well as his Law Degree from the University of Toledo at night while working full time at Toledo Edison and raising a family. He worked for Toledo Edison and Kelsey Hayes as a Director of Human Relations/Human Resources. He completed his career by retiring from Hancock Wood Electric. Tom was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He proudly served his country in the Air National Guard. Tom married Judy LaMont in Toledo, Ohio on August 26, 1961 and together they raised their two sons. In his spare time Tom enjoyed deep sea fishing, watching and playing golf, cruises with friends and wintering in Florida with his wife Judy. You could always find him watching Notre Dame during football season. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Judy McGrail; children, Michael (Mindy) McGrail and Scott (Anne) McGrail; grandchildren, David Nester, Nicholas McGrail and Erin McGrail; and sister, Marilyn (William) Batson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg (419-874-3133) on Monday, September 5, 2016 from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM. Funeral prayers will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 6 starting at 9:45 AM with a funeral mass at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front St., Perrysburg beginning at 10:30 AM.
