Thomas “Tom” M. Luce, 69, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on March 26, 2024. He was born on December 27, 1954, in Oregon to his late parents, Charles and Geneva (Wheeler) Luce, where he grew up alongside his six siblings. He attended Oregon Clay High School and later had three children which soon developed into 10 grandchildren. He was a proud Papa and cherished his grandkids more than anything.
In his free time, Tom loved fishing for walleye and yellow perch out on Lake Erie. Occasionally he would attend auctions and thoroughly enjoyed watching movies, especially if it was an Old Western accompanied by a cold beer. He will be remembered as a private, calm, and laid-back man. He was a man of few words but his presence was impactful, and he will be incredibly missed by all who loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Thomas “Tommy” (Heather) Luce, II., Richard (Nancy) Luce, April Sterling; grandchildren, Thomas III, Jacob, Mazzie, Kyla, Skylar, Justin, Lillianna, Richard, Tyler, and Lexi; and siblings, Pat (Steve) Desko, Chuck (Joan) Luce, Steve Luce, and Amy (Stan) Speelman. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Sharon Sherwood and Charlotte Sturt.
All are welcome to Tom’s visitation at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, on April 2, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. There will be a brief Sharing of Memories with a Toast to conclude the evening at 7:45 p.m.
