Thomas (Tom) R. Ketcham, age 64, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away suddenly on July 13, 2013. He was born July 6, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to Arthur and Ruth Ketcham. Tom graduated from the University of Toledo in 1972 with a B.S. in electrical engineering, where he was president of the Triangle Engineering Fraternity. He then received an MBA from Baldwin Wallace College. Tom spent the majority of his career working for Owens Corning, and was currently a consultant for IOP, installing in office pathology labs across the country. There wasn’t anything Tom couldn’t do or fix, and he did so with such kindness, generosity, patience, and compassion, that much of his time was spent helping others, doing things like installing home theaters, sound systems, or working on HAM radios with his Dad. He was an avid train collector, and was a long-time member of the Train Collectors Association, as well as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He loved contemporary art, jazz music, Broadway shows, going to the movies, and would never miss Tuesday nights with the boys. Tom was the loving husband, father, son and brother people dream of having. He will be deeply missed by his wife Patti; his mother Ruth; his children Jeff (Victoria), Melissa (Matt) Kish, and Lindsay; his sister Linda (John) Reitzel; his brother John; his grandchildren Jayden & Weston Kish; Aunt Mary Haefner; nieces, nephews; and his beloved dog and best friend, Riley. He was preceded in death by his father Arthur R. Ketcham; and Uncle Wayne Haefner. Family and friends may visit the Witzler Shank Funeral Home of Perrysburg, 222 E.
