Thomas J. “Tom” Kazmierczak, age 85, of Toledo, Ohio, died April 15, 2021 with loving family by his side. He was born September 9, 1935 in Toledo to the late Joseph and Mary (Kujawa) Kazmierczak and graduated from Libby High School. Always hard working, Tom managed Russ’s Car Wash in Toledo for many years. He was later employed in marketing and data collection by Crossmark and worked into his retirement years. Tom had a great love for music; he enjoyed golfing and boating on Devils Lake and was a longtime member of Devils Lake Yacht Club, a place where his family created many cherished memories. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, serving as an usher and Eucharistic minister. Tom had a great sense of humor-he was sociable, kind and always looking for a good conversation. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his family and friends, especially his beloved daughters Lori and Janice, granddaughter Jenny “his little star/squirt”, and was known as the best dad, grandpa and great-grandpa around. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Lori Duncan and Janice (Rob) Mullins; granddaughter, Jennifer (Chris) Chesson; great grandchildren, Adelyn, Grady Thomas (named after “Papa”) with another great-grandson on the way; sisters, Chris (Mona) Murphy and Alice Kelly; and sister-in-law, Frannie Kazmierczak. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Joyce; son-in-law, Dean Duncan; brothers, Melvin, David (Ona), Gerald (Susie), and Edward; sister, Bernadine (Danny); and brother-in-laws, Joe Izzi, Doug Kelly, sister-in-law, Barb (Gerald) Beaudry. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where a scripture service and sharing of memories will be held at 7:30 p.m. Services will begin with prayers in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, April 22, 2021 followed by funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo. Mass can be viewed via livestream at cktoledo.org. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
