Thomas Edward Kaintz

Feb 11, 1945 — Jun 20, 2026

Uncle Tom was born on February 11, 1945 and passed away peacefully at the young age of 81 on June 20, 2026 at The Toledo Hospital.

He was known for his kindness to others, the generosity that he gave to strangers, and his sense of humor. He would leave silly messages on a voicemail just to bring a smile and joy to that person.

Uncle Tom touched countless lives through his life. He was noted to give flowers to his doctors and their staff, birthday cakes to make others feel special, and would often post on his Facebook asking the community to keep public servants in their prayers and to always thank them for what they do. He would remind others to check on the elderly and, it was not unusual for him to hand money to an elderly couple at a grocery store to help them pay for groceries.

He loved people and animals too. He would worry about the stray cats in the winter time, and would often feed the birds and the squirrels. He would also remind the community to be careful driving and to watch the geese and their babies crossing the roads.

Uncle Tom was proud to call himself a Veteran. He especially enjoyed selling his United States flags and his special flower arrangements that he personally made. We thank all of the businesses that let our Uncle Tom set up his tables such as the Silver Moon restaurant, Susie's Skillet, and the gas station up the street from him.

Our Uncle Tom will be deeply missed and forever remembered. His special wish was, "for all this hatred in the world stop and for there to be peace."

One phrase, he was noted to saying and will be the legacy to others that he will leave is,"EVERYTHING WILL BE OK; GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF IT"

In his memory, we ask that you honor our "Uncle Tom of Perrysburg" by doing something he would always ask for. "Do something nice for someone this week and always"
