Thomas Roy Hadley, age 69, of Waterville, OH, died Monday, May 9, 2011, while recovering from quadruple bypass. Tom was born in Holly, MI, April 29, 1942, to Maurice Frank and Beatrice Jean Lind Hadley. Tom was married to Geraldine Jarzembowski on June 11, 1966 and had been happily married for 44 years. He graduated from the University of Toledo in 1966 with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Tom has been an avid member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity for over 40 years. In 1977, Tom started Hadley & Associates, Inc., a complete remodeling and new home construction business in both Michigan and Ohio. Tom was recognized by many as the Energy Doctor, and also by the National Home Builders Association as a Certified Graduate Remodeler. He specialized in energy efficient homes having pioneered such techniques as the Permanent Wood Foundation, passive solar design and super insulation long before they became popular in the local community. Tom also served the City of Toledo as a member of the Board of Building Standards and Appeals. He has lived in the greater Toledo area since 1960. Toms loves in life were his family, playing cards, golf and traveling. He was active in his church and Young Life. Tom is a believer and alive in Christ. He was a wonderful husband, father and brother. Tom was a competitive man and enjoyed a good game; he worked hard and played hard. Tom is survived by his wife, Geraldine; son, Scott Thomas Kathleen Hadley; daughters, Andrea Jean Scot Richardson and Karen Sue Sean Murphy; grand children, Nicholas, Matthew, Lauryn, Kate Murphy; and sister, Janie Hadley. Family and friends may visit Friday, May 13, 2011, from 3-9 pm at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10:30, preceded by a showing from 9:30-10:30 am at Waterville Community Church, 8217 Dutch Rd., Waterville, OH 43566.
