Thomas Granata

Thomas Eugene Granata passed December 11, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Born September 13, 1939 to Joseph and Eleanor Granata, Tom attended St. Anne’s grade school and graduated from Whitmer H.S. in1958. Tom’s love of music began at an early age and he was active singing barbershop harmony with various choruses and quartets for nearly 60 years. Tom was a wonderful partner to his wife, Gloria, in their business (Sweet Elegance) which was located at Franklin Park and Southwyck malls. Tom is survived by Gloria, his wife of 43 years, children Thomas, Jr. (Wendy), Valerie (David), stepchildren, Tracy (Mike), Kevin (Catherine), brothers Richard (Sue) and David (Karen), 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Eleanor, Joseph, Charles, Francis and grandson Michael. Tom will be dearly missed by family and friends and remembered for his beautiful smile and warm and loving heart. A private service will be held Friday, December 18, 2020. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tom’s name to the American Heart Association.
