Thomas D. Ciminillo

Thomas D. Ciminillo, age 63, of Sylvania, passed away Thursday January 7, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 2, 1947, in Lima, OH to Joseph and Nicoline Caprella Ciminillo. He graduated from Lima Central Catholic in 1965 and from The University of Cincinnati in 1969. Tom received his Masters of Education degree from Indiana University. On June 5, 1971, he married Philippa Pippa Nolte in Landeck, OH. Tom had previously worked for KP Industries in Delphos before retiring from Tecumseh Products as Corporate Director of Employee Benefits. He was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania. Along with his loving wife, Tom is survived by his son, John Catherine Rinaldo; daughter, Nicole Peter Scott; brothers, Lewis Maxine and Joe Judy Ciminillo and a sister, Jo Ann Ciminillo. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday from 4:00- 8:00 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. A Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be on Monday 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 S. Main St. Sylvania.
