Thomas Aquinas Carl, of Toledo, on January 6, 2016 went home to be with his Heavenly Father at the age of 90. He was born July 9, 1925 in Williamsport, Pa. to the late Edward and Loretta (Graff) Carl. Thomas was a Marine in World War II and retired from General Motors Corporation. He volunteered his time at Christ the King Church, assisting in any and every endeavor put before him; was an active member of several military associations and the GM Retiree association. Thomas is survived by his three children, Kathryn Blaylock, Thomas A. Carl and Elizabeth A. Carl; four grandchildren, Tobias Papa, Carrie Carl, Nicholas Carl and Jacob Carl; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol in 2010. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 1:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2016 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) concluded with the Rosary at 5:00 p.m. Additional visitation for Thomas will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of his funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Christ the King Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo.
