Thomas Lee Businger

Thomas Lee "Thom" Businger, 67, of Perrysburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. He was born on September 26, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Robert and Shirley (Goodeman) Businger.

He graduated from Lake High School in 1976. There he played baseball and basketball making many life long friends. He went on to work at Haas Door and Mercury Finance as a Finance Manager.

Thom was a man of many passions and interests. He had incredible knowledge of music and pop culture. He had an unmatched memory when it came to songs - he could often name the artist, the year a song was released, and the album it appeared on within seconds of hearing it. Thom was also an avid vinyl record collector who truly appreciated music from every era and genre. He loved sharing his knowledge and could spend hours talking music. He also enjoyed studying the almanac. Thom was the one person you wanted to call when you were lost and needed directions. He loved dogs, reading the bible, journaling, and storm watching. He was a devoted sports fan, cheering on the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. In his free time, Thom also enjoyed coaching softball, bowling, fishing, singing karaoke, and attending church services.

Thom is survived by his children, Brooke (Brad) Marzec, Leeann Businger, and Ryan (Samantha) Businger; his grandchildren, Madilyn, Lillian, Noah, Vivian, Owen, and Landon; his siblings, Dan (Cherrie) Businger and Julie (Stacey) Malcolm; and his former wives, Marci Businger and Cindy Sarna. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley Businger.

A private burial and funeral service will be held for immediate family and friends. The family appreciates your love, thoughts, and prayers during this difficult time.
