Thomas D Burke

Thomas Donald Burke, 67, of Port Clinton, passed away late Tuesday evening, January 17, 2017 at his home. Tom was born on June 25, 1949, in Fostoria, OH to Donald Paul Burke and Eileen Kathryn (Lawler) Burke-Martz. On May 25, 1991 in Navarre, OH, he married Elizabeth Aleen Axe and she survives. Tom retired in 2006 as a superintendent for the Ford Motor Co. in Lima and Cleveland. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Tom will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Loving wife: Elizabeth A. Burke; children: Natalie R. Burke, Elliot J. (Holly) Burke, Brian P. Burke and Alexa R. (Scott) Burke-Gross; 8 grandchildren; and sister: Mary Kathleen White. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and step-father: Erwin E. Martz. Funeral Services will be conducted by Father John Missler 10am, Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 216 Washington St, Port Clinton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery.
