Thomas William Braker

Thomas W. Braker, 48, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Ebeid Hospice after a short battle with esophageal cancer. Tom was born on August 4, 1968 to Dorothy (English) and Fred Braker at Griffiss AFB in Rome NY. After graduation from Bowsher High School, Tom began working at Stanley Steamer Carpet Cleaning for 13 years and for the last 15 years he was employed by Jack Doheny Company in Michigan. In August of 1997 he married his best friend Julie Rutledge and together they have a son Colby. Tom enjoyed immensely watching and participating with Colby in his Dirt Bike Racing. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame Football and the Cleveland Indians. Anyone who ever met Tom had made a true friend forever. He is survived by his wife Julie, son Colby; Mother, Dorothy (John) Luetzow; Father, Fred (Becky) Braker; sister, Catherine Braker and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Special thanks to all of his close friends who supported Tom on this journey. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, December 9, 2016, at the Walker Funeral Home at 5155 W.
