Thomas Paul Ashe age 90, of Maumee, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Tom was born in Toledo, OH on June 29, 1926 to James E. and Clara M. (Cramer) Ashe. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Detroit and earned his Master degree in International Business from Mexico City College. Tom was employed at the Ford Motor Company/Autolite for many years as a Foreign Business Liaison. He was a 2nd Class Gunners Mate and shore patrol in the US Navy, serving his country during WWII and the Korean War. Tom enjoyed spending quality time with his family; politics, history, sports, nature and working outside. Surviving is his brother, Charles Ashe; sisters, Margaret (John) Gwynn, Carol French and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Clara, James, William, Vincent and Joan. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 3:00-8:00 PM. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
