Therese M. Carr

Therese M. Carr, age 83, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home, on Sunday, November 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Therese was a 1956 graduate of Port Clinton High School and spent her adult life working as a seamstress for over 29 years. Not only was sewing her career, but it was also her passion. In her free time, Therese also enjoyed camping, puzzles, spending time with her friends and family, and loved animals and pets of all kinds. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Therese M. Carr was born on November 29, 1938, in Hillsdale County, Bird Lake, Michigan, the daughter of Harry Eugene and Rose D. (Larrabee) Leary. Therese married Albert T. Carr, on September 14, 1957, and the two enjoyed over 63 years of blissful marriage, before his passing on June 29, 2020.

Left to cherish her memories include her two sons, Tom, and Albert “Tedd” Jr., Carr; one daughter, Catherine Rose Carr (Lance Greene); grandchildren, Thomas and Jason Carr, and Jennifer Phillips; great-grandchildren, Emma Phillips, and Eva Carr; one sister, Mary Elizabeth McAtee and many nieces and nephews. Therese is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Rose Leary; her husband, Albert; one son, Timothy Carr; one sister, Virginia Ann Leary; and one brother, John Henry Leary.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 4:00-6:00PM at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker-Port Clinton location, 216 Washington Street. Private interment will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
