Theresa S. Terry Obergefell, 81, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 25, 1928, in Sandusky, OH to Anthony and Ann R. Lombardy Fresch. On February 3, 1951 in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Sandusky she married Richard J. Obergefell. He preceded her in death in August 2003. Theresa was employed at Walts Auto Glass in Toledo, OH for 5 years. Theresa and Richard were owner and operators of Os Anchorage Marina, Marblehead, OH for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. Theresa enjoyed swimming, boating and ceramics as well as cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Lady Elks and was past president of the Maumee River Yacht Club Ladies Auxilliary and a member of the Port Clinton Yacht Club. She is survived by, daughters, Peggy Richard Rick Moore of Madison, WI, Sandra Roland Casper of Tiffin, OH, son, David Cindy Obergefell of Catawba Island, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Theresa is also survived by sisters, Mary Larizza and Virginia Johnson, both of Florida and brother, Henry Fresch of Norwalk, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, brothers, James, Clarence, and Eugene Fresch. Visitation will be held from 2-8PM on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, OH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father John Missler at 11:00AM on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. Family prayers will begin at 10:30AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Theresa may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, American Diabetes Association, or to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital .
