Theresa M. Gonzalez

It is with broken hearts we share the passing of Theresa M. Gonzalez on November 15, 2024, at the age of 64. She was born to Frank and Mary Hernandez on April 24, 1960, in Toledo, Ohio. Theresa loved red roses and dancing to her favorite music. She was a strong woman who raised three children and worked hard as a social worker for several medical systems. Her favorite patients were children of all ages.

Above all, she adored her children and her grandchildren. Her home and heart were open to family and friends. Many nieces and nephews would visit Aunt Theresa and enjoy her welcoming home and amazing cooking, but she was strict. Everyone knew to follow her rules. From her famous enchiladas, Spanish rice, and potato salad, everyone loved her cooking.

Theresa never left the house unless her hair was done and her makeup was on. Her goal was to have a peaceful home, where all of her family got along.

Left to mourn her beautiful life are her children, Melissa (Sergio) Angel, Juan Carlos (Carmen April) Ortega, and Gianna Gonzalez; grandchildren, Sergio Angel Jr., Sebastian Angel, and Sophia Angel; siblings, Michael (Kareen) Hernandez, Raquel (Lawrence) Fleischman, Frances (Arthur James Oviedo) Angel, Christina Mejia, John Hernandez, and Gloria Mejia; as well as many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

She was preceded by her parents; and siblings, Daniel Hernandez, Thomas Hernandez, and Rosalie Hernandez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home (5155 W. Sylvania Ave.).
