Theresa “Honey Girl” (Annarino) Duck, 93, of Toledo, Ohio Theresa was lifted on Angels Wings, with her family by her side, and relieved from her 18 year fight with cancer on November 13, 2016. Born on March 11, 1923, she was the eldest child of the late Charles and Jane (Restivo) Annarino. She is survived by her children, Patricia Wilcox, Tom (Shelly) Duck, Judy (Frank) Knakiewicz and Theresa (Denny Bisbee) LaCourse; daughter in law, Nancy Duck; her sisters Rosetta (Carl) Bartaldo and Mame Green; and her 16 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren: Colleen (Doug) Long and their children Megan, Cailin, Brendan and Ryan; Frank Wilcox and his daughter, Olivia; Kevin (Dawn) Duck and their children, Ethan and Owen; Julie (Cam) Wigton and their children, Tae Lani and Leo; Jennifer (Quinn) Brown and their daughter, Nico; Charlie (Elissa) Duck and their son Charlie; Andrea (Jay) Larranaga and their children Taylor “Tia” and James; Maureen (Tom) Koltz and their children Michaela, Meredith, Madeleine, Maebelle; Priscilla (Aaron) Bersee and their children Joel and Amos; Maggie (Dave) Robertshaw and their children Carter, Edison and Winnie; Lisa (Tony) Palazzolo and their children, Angelo, Anthony and Francesca; Bryan Knakiewicz; Shannon LaCourse and her daughters Audreigh and Kyleah; Chelsey (Sunny) Gupta and their daughters Reena and Priya; Kasey LaCourse (Emma Morgan); Darcy Wynes and her sons Joe and Matt; Corey Bubon and her son Steven. Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Duck; her sons, Charles P. Duck Jr., Michael Duck; grandson, Matt LaCourse; great grandson, Eli Bersee; parents, Jane and Charlie Annarino; brother, Dr. James Annarino and sister-in-law, Mary Jo Annarino. Honey-Girl” attended St. Patrick’s Grade school on Avondale and Central Catholic High School where she was Salutatorian of her 1941 graduating class. After her commencement speech, she was presented, on stage, with an engagement ring by her future husband, Charles Duck. They were married 43 years. Theresa’s hobbies centered around her family. She crocheted blankets and throws for all her grand and great-grand babies. She was an avid reader and loved playing card games often challenging family members and friends to double solitaire, Euchre, and board games. She and her sister, Rosetta, formed a Tripoli club that met monthly for over 30 years. Theresa was employed for 20 years by the Toledo Public Schools as a Secretary in the Department of Special Education. During her retirement years she enjoyed hosting many family and friend gatherings at their Posey Lake Cottage. Grandkids in tents, guitar music and bonfires were a weekend happening where never ending pans of lasagna, pasta salads and lakeside memories will never be forgotten. A special thank you to the home health care aides, friends and family, whose tender care throughout her illness will always be cherished. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 2-9 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave (west of Corey Rd) with a scripture service at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will begin with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church Sylvania. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
