Theresa M. Dezelick, 89, of Port Clinton, Ohio, died Friday evening, October 9, 2015, in Heartland of Wauseon, Wauseon, Ohio. Theresa was born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 30, 1926, to Peter and Johanna (Zaruba) Knauer. Theresa married Robert A. Dezelick in Chicago on May 5, 1956, and he preceded her in death in 1995. Theresa was a homemaker, a registered nurse and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton. For many years she was the school nurse at Immaculate Conception Catholic School and was a volunteer for blood drives for the American Red Cross. Survivors include her sister, Antonia McCauley, her sons, John (Patricia) Dezelick, Edward Dezelick and William (Karen Beckman) Dezelick, two grandchildren, Kasey and Colby Dezelick, two step grandchildren, Katherine (Levi) Pauli and Elizabeth (Michael) Thompson, and three step-great grandchildren, Tayah, Nolan and Graham. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents and husband. A graveside service will be conducted by Fr. John Missler at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2015, in the Catawba Island Cemetery, 4822 E. Cemetery Rd., Port Clinton, OH 43452. Memorial contributions for Theresa may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church School, 414 Madison St., Port Clinton, OH 43452. The Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
