Theresa Mary Christie

Theresa M. Christie, age 90, of Perrysburg passed away Tuesday December 16, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Theresa was born in Toledo on October 9, 1918 to Edward and Theresa Reger Eberle. Theresa was a member of St. Rose Church in Perrysburg and its Altar Rosary Society. Theresa was also involved with Helping Hands at St. Rose and tutored at Pickett and Reynolds Schools in Toledo. She was an excellent cook and baker and Theresa also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, Suzanne Wallen Crane of Toledo; Marie Derrell Chastain of Ft. Worth, TX; Janice Ron Szalkowski of Perrysburg; Karen Christie Edward Hughes of Rossford, Diana Al Ulch of Toledo, Leo Catherine Christie Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, David Christie of Indianapolis, IN and grandchildren, Sarah Crane Andy Weiner , Adam Crane, Derrell Heather Chastain, Tara Norman Spears, Angie Kearns, Eric Sarah Szalkowski, Jill Nate Potter, Sean and Aaron Hughes, Kevin Podsaid; 9 great-grandchildren and a sister, Roseann Eberle. Theresa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leo A. Christie, her parents and 3 brothers. Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St. Maumee on Thursday, December 18, 2008 from 2-8 P.M. where services will begin on Friday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass at 10:15 A.M. at St. Rose Church in Perrysburg. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose School Endowment Fund or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
