Thelma V. Koke, age 98, formerly of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Glendale Senior Living, Toledo. Thelma was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 10, 1915 to Earl and Elizabeth Stanley Brown. She was employed as a counselor with the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services for many years retiring in 1980. Thelma spent most of her retirement years in Sun City Center, Florida. Thelma was a member of the Maumee Senior Center, past Matron of Harbor Light Eastern Star and member of Lotus Eastern Star, Perrysburg. Surviving is her daughter; Kathleen Drum of Maumee; grandchildren, Tina Rick Hacker, Melissa David Gratz, Brian Drum and great-grandchildren, Max and Tate Gratz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard E. Koke; son, Ronald Koke and siblings, Robert and Burton Brown, Carol Mull and Charles and Earl Brown. Family and friends may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St., Maumee on Friday from 3-8 pm where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am.
