Thelma Alice Duvall Farrell, age 96, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday, October 3, 2007, in the arms of her daughter and granddaughter and with the loving support of her son-in-law. She was born on April 27, 1911, in Toledo, OH, to Daniel and Anna Clairmont Duvall. A devoted and loving sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and aunt, her family and friends were the light of her life. Her Catholic faith was the animating principle in her life, and her spirituality was a model for her loved ones. In 1947, she married Howard Farrell, the love of her life, and together they raised their beloved daughter, Susan. She adored children and before her marriage worked as an elementary school teacher at Sacred Heart Parish. She was later employed by Holtman Machine and Tool Company for 20 years as their office manager, charming all visitors with her captivating smile. In her final years, she was grateful for the kind, loving and gentle care provided by the staff at Sunset House Nursing Home.
