Thelma Fay Criswell, 86, of Maumee, OH passed away Thursday, October 01, 2009 in St. Lukes Hospital. She was born April 4, 1923 in Toledo to Earl and Vera Powers Farrell. Thelma was employed in the Accounting Department for Seaway Foodtown for 12 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Westgate Chapel. Thelma was a former member and leader of the O-Ton-Ta-La Daughters of Mokanna, and was also involved nationally. She sang with the Maumee Senior Center Singers and enjoyed sewing, collecting frogs and playing cards. Thelmas greatest love was her family. The widow of Robert Criswell who passed away September 13, 2000, Thelma is survived by her children, Robbie Barbara Criswell, Julie Will Parrott and James Criswell; grandchildren, Kelly Gunnar, Carla, Carli Russ, Jason Averial, Amber and Rosemene; great grandchildren, Tyler, Abby, Hannah, Michael, Cammarilla and Chloe. In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma was preceded in death by her sister, Lynne Buehler. Family and friends may visit Monday, October 5, 2009 from 2-8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 10:30 am.
