Thelma E. Burk

Thelma E. Burk age 86, of Maumee, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg surrounded by her loving family. Thelma was born in New London, OH on August 25, 1926 to Leroy and Zelma Rohrbach Campbell. Thelma was a lifetime member of Grace United Methodist Church in Perrysburg. She was active in her community and volunteered at St. Lukes Hospital, the Wolcott House and the American Cancer Society. Thelma was an avid gardener, quilter, reader and had many friendship circles. She and her husband James traveled all 50 states. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Bob DiBella, Jeanne John Rife, Kathy Barry Conlan, Laura Joe Renn; son, James Amy Burk; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Frank Helen Campbell; sister, Marge Hanna and special sisters in law, Bettie and Mabel Burk. In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Burk; daughter, Bonnie Lu and brothers, Zelbert and Carl Campbell. A celebration of life for Thelma will be held on Friday November 9, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Grace United Methodist Church, 601 East Boundary Street Perrysburg, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cherry Street Mission. A heartfelt thank you to her neighbors; A special thank you to Dr. Richard Paat and his staff.
