Terry L. Vanness

Terry VanNess passed away at home on December 23, 2022, at the age of 66. He was born to his parents Claude and Darlene VanNess on July 11, 1956. He went on to graduate from Genoa High School in 1975 and went to work for the family business as a carpenter.

Terry pictured himself as a mountain man, being self-sustaining and living somewhat off the grid. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and all animals. His beloved Jack Russel Terrier Jackie was a child to him.

Formerly married to Danielle Witt, they had two children together. Terry is survived by his children, Justin (Katelynn) VanNess, Melissa (Andrew) Rollheiser; siblings John (Susan) VanNess, Tom (Dawn) VanNess, Jerry (Delores) VanNess, Claudia (Doug) VanSickle, and his beloved child Jackie.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to The Nature’s Conservancy.
