Terry Lewis

Terry Dean Lewis, born on February 6, 1945, in Muncie, Indiana, passed away on May 21, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Ebeid Center, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved son of Harold and Gloria Lewis.

A hardworking and committed individual, Terry began his career at Doehler-Jarvis and devoted over three decades of service to General Motors in Toledo. A man of many passions, he found joy in sports, proudly supporting the Ohio State Buckeyes, Big Ten athletics, and the Detroit Lions. His love for racing extended to owning horses at Raceway Park and owning a race car as well. While his enthusiasm for collectibles led him to amass an extensive collection of NASCAR memorabilia, Beanie Babies, Furbies, and baseball cards.

Terry was a silent partner at Rocky’s Bar and a loyal member of the Moose Lodge in Sylvania. An adventurer at heart, he enjoyed several Caribbean cruises and frequently traveling to Miami, Florida and Atlanta, GA to visit his beloved sisters. Most recently, he was accompanied by his cherished Jack Russell Terrier, Kayno, who brought him great companionship and happiness.

On Sundays, he had a cherished tradition of sharing breakfast with his union brothers. He was deeply devoted to his loved ones, and always found time to bring friends and family together over a meal.

Terry will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, his love of sports and racing, and his ability to find joy in life's simple treasures. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his son, Jason (Jenny); grandchild, Kaylie Marksch; siblings, Sonny Lewis, Viola Crider, Sharon Jones, Karen Crandall, Susan Pike, and Glenda Roman; many nieces and nephews; and former spouse, Paula Lewis. Terry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Herb Jones, Dick Crider, and Richard Crandall.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 3 PM – 7 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 W Sylvania Ave. The Funeral Service for Terry will be Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
