Terry H. Hansen

Terry Henry Hansen, age 69, of Clay Center, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Ayden Healthcare of Waterville, Ohio. He was born on April 29, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio to Rolland and Hilda (Zunk) Hansen. Terry worked for 30 years at L.O.F as a Tool and Die Maker and then later as a heavy equipment operator at the Genoa Quarry. After retirement, he enjoyed working alongside his best friend, Frank “Buzz Saw” Zamanski. He was a volunteer fireman, where he was a member of the Clay Center Fire Department for 15 years and the Genoa/Clay Fire Department for 5 years. Terry was a councilman for Clay center from 1980-2005 and also served as mayor for 6 months and the zoning inspector for 34 years. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Williston, Ohio and enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, scuba diving, watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and racing. Terry is survived by his daughters, Holly (Nathan) Stewart, Tammy (Matt) Sandwisch and Terrylou (Alan) Coger; grandchildren, Ariel, Noelle, Krista, Braxton. Skylee and Jourdan; step grandchildren, Kelly and Joe; brother, Rolland Jr; sister, Marsha (Dan) Wolf; and special friend, Victoria Carson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; parents; sister, Sue Norwalk; and sister-in-law, Cathy Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West Street, Genoa, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elliston Cemetery.
