Terry L. Granger

Terry Lynne (Orrin) Granger, 56, passed away on January 3, 2014 in Los Angeles, CA. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 11, 1957 to Terrance and Clara (Copeland) Mitchell. She married Glen W. Granger on October 21, 1996. Terry was released from her long and courageous battle after receiving a double lung transplant to fight her diagnosis of Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was an incredibly strong person who fought this disease with everything that she had in her. Every day was a new challenge which she met with a determination not matched by many. She encountered so many obstacles in this fight but just kept going against all of the odds stacked against her. Her strength has been a source of encouragement for her family who are grappling with this tremendous loss. She loved her family with all of her heart and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She bragged about them to anyone who would listen and was so excited to come home to see them all again. She has left her family with so many memories and stories to keep her alive in their hearts forever. She was a friend to all who knew her and her legacy will only continue to grow. She is survived and missed by her husband Glen, daughter Rebecca (Neal Bomeli) Orrin, son Michael Orrin Jr., stepdaughter Melissa (Adam) Jenovai, stepson Nicholas Granger, grandchildren Kayla Bomeli, Kali Bomeli, Carter Bomeli, Cody Bomeli, Amelia Jenovai, Tessa Jenovai. Brother, Greg Mitchell, two sisters Miriam (Al) Szykowny, Pam Mitchell and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Terrance Mitchell and Clara Mitchell. Family and friends will be received at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 10 am -2 pm. Memorial service with begin at 2pm. A funeral procession from the funeral home to Toledo Memorial Park will begin on Monday, January 13, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
