Terry E. Donley, 65, of Genoa, died Monday, April 12, 2010, in Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. He was born July 2, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio, to Richard, Sr. and Wilhelmina M. Bosen Donley. He married Peggy J. Gilbert in Port Clinton, Ohio, on January 26, 1968, and she survives. Terry worked for Chrysler Corp. Toledo Machining in Perrysburg for 31 years, retiring in 1997. He was a loving husband, whose wife was the love of his life. He had a good sense of humor and was a teacher to his family. His many hobbies included music, working in the yard and taking care of his ornamental pond, woodworking, especially furniture and making a cradle for his great grandchildren to be. Terry liked motorcycles and had recently purchased, which he enjoyed riding all last summer. Terry was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of the UAW. In addition to his wife, Peggy, Terry is survived by his children, Todd Chelie Donley of High Point, NC, and Gwen Elvis Stone, of Clay Center, grandchildren, Caitlin, Tiffani and Brittani Donley and Kyle Bridge, and sisters, Nancy St. John of Oregon and Shirley Barrett of Millbury. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Jane, Richard, Jr., Roberta, Arlene, and Duane. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010. Interment will follow in Clay Township Cemetery with military honors. Memorials for Terry may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551, or the Genoa American Legion Post #324.
