Terry Lee Dingus

Terry Lee Dingus, affectionately known to his family and gaming friends as "Uncle Grouchy" and "Dox," passed away on January 21, 2025, in the care of Concord Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio. He was 53 years old.

Terry was born on December 9, 1971, in Columbus, Ohio, to Terry Dingus and Rosal (Bell). Over the years, he worked in various roles, from construction, where he was skilled in carpentry, roofing, and operating a tow motor, to factory work.

Outside of work, Terry had a passion for gaming. He enjoyed long hours immersed in titles like Final Fantasy and Dynasty Warriors, and he spent countless moments bonding with his family over card games like Uno Show No Mercy, Rummy, Euchre, Spades, and War. His nephews especially loved these times, where his playful teasing and competitive spirit shone through.

Terry had a love for fishing. Whether he was near a pond or river, he found peace in the quiet moments spent casting a line. He treasured get-togethers and cookouts with his closest family, and he was known for his love of pasta. He had a quiet demeanor, keeping to himself for the most part, but he never missed an opportunity to share a good laugh and joke with those around him, especially the kids.

Terry is survived by his son, Khrystian, his mother, Rosal, his siblings, Rebba Heath, Ryan Parsley, and Alice Ladd, and his nieces and nephews, including Robert E. Dingus II, Dee-Dee Dingus, and Rynox Parsley, among many others. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Dingus, and stepfather, Raymond Parsley.

In accordance with Terry's wishes, a celebration of his life will be held on January 25, 2025, from 2:00pm-4:00pm at 205 Buckeye Blvd, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family via the Tribute Fund at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com to help with expenses.
