Terri Lynn Easley, age 59, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 7, 2019 at The University of Toledo Medical Center. She was born to Phyllis and the late Bernard Hackenberg on Thursday, December 3, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio. Terri grew up in Temperance, MI where she attended Bedford High School. She later finished at Scott High School in Toledo in 1977. She started a family in 1978, then later became a chef for many country clubs and Head Chef at The Toledo Art Museum for many years. She was an excellent cook and loved to prepare warm, home cooked meals for her family and friends. Most of her childrens friends, as well as her special nieces and nephews referred to her as Ma. She loved to socialize and entertain her family. She was known and loved by a lot of people. She was funny, smart and loving. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Hackenberg (2011), Grandmother, Mary Pierce (2010) and Fiance, Artis Layson (2015). She leaves to cherish her memory, mother, Phyllis Roberts; brother, Charles (Laura) Hackenberg; daughter, Rachel Cotton (Melvin Buckingham); Sons, Charles Cotton, Ceasare Cotton and Kenneth Easley Jr.; Grandchildren, RaShann, Eunique, Semaj, Shaterra, SeRon, Christopher, Alivia, Cameron, Caleb, Sophia, Calil, and Alexandria; and a host of family and friends to carry on her legacy. A memorial visitation will be held at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 11:00am until the time of the memorial service at 1:00pm. Memorial gifts may be sent to her daughter, Rachel Cotton.
