Terrence Hannigan

Terrence Patrick Hannigan, 68, of Perrysburg, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Terry was born October 15, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to John Joseph and Betty (Farley) Hannigan. He earned his undergraduate degree in Engineering from Notre Dame, and then went on to earn his MBA from the University of Toledo. Terry married Margaret “Peg” Galante on August 9, 1975 and together they shared 45 years together. Terry was an electrical engineer, working for several companies including Owens-Corning, BASF, Palmer and Associates, Tenneco, and Hertz. He also owned his own business for several years, Modern Tools. Terry was always well respected by his coworkers and employees. He was an avid sports fan, never missing anything Notre Dame. He was also a lifelong Philly sports fan, particularly the Eagles, Flyers and Phillies. Terry loved spending time with his grandchildren, landscaping, taking pictures, visiting National Parks, and when his kids were younger harassing youth sports officials. Terry was a problem-solver who could fix anything. He was often the first call for his family and friends to fix a car, appliance, or put something together. He is survived by his wife, Peg; sons, Daniel, Steve and John (Catie) Hannigan; grandchildren, Isabel, Brianna, Bodie and Sara; siblings, Jack (Vicki) Hannigan, Connie Adamonis, Tim (Meda) Hannigan, Christine Maloney and Michele Hannigan. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark; parents; step-mother, Katherine; brother, Bill Hannigan, sister, Laura Hannigan, brothers-in-law, Frank Gallo, Donald Burns and Jim Adamonis; sisters-in-law, Elaine Burns and Rosemary Poppert and niece, Marisa Gallo. A memorial mass will be held Monday, January 11, 2021 at St. John XXIII, 24250 N. Dixie Highway, Perrysburg at 10 A.M. You may also watch the memorial mass live streamed on St. John XXIII website by visiting stjohn23.org. Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Memorial contributions may be made in Terry’s name to St. John XXIII.
