Teresa Jane “Tina” Lau, age 73, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2021, at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill, SC. Tina was born in Adrian, MI on June 17, 1948, and graduated from Onsted High School in 1966.She is survived by her husband Richard Lau, who along with Tina and her beloved dog Daisy, reside in Rock Hill. Tina has a daughter Debbie Placzkiewicz (Jeff) of Toledo; three stepchildren, Brian Lau of Virginia Beach, VA, Bridget Moss (Shelley) of Charlottesville, VA, and Sean Lau (Penny) of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren Sheldon Young of Toledo and Riley Moss of Charlottesville, Va. Tina was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Betz Campbell from Adrian, her father Harvey George Ervin from Alberta, Canada and brothers Gary Ervin from Adrian and Jerome Ervin from Toledo. Tina worked for A. Mindel & Sons for many years, first as a secretary, then later as a Logistics manager after A. Mindel was sold to Seton Leather Trading Group. Following retirement, Tina helped as a caretaker for elderly patients at West Park Place senior living in Toledo. She enjoyed this work immensely, her favorite senior whom she helped was Rena Mann of Toledo. Tina loved traveling, playing cards, going to casinos, entertaining at home, cooking, canning, knitting, going to the beach, and especially spending time with family and friends. She liked walking in the mall and loved to go shopping. She belonged to Toledo Metropolitan Ladies Club in Toledo and The Newcomers of York County Ladies Club in Rock Hill, where she met some wonderful friends. She loved to go on cruises with her husband Rick and friends and traveling to their timeshare in Treasure Island, FL. Tina was a very elegant, classy lady with beautiful clothes and jewelry. Her best friend Pam Dennis, whom she knew for over 40 years was very special to her. She even moved to Rock Hill so she could be nearer to her. Pam was with her till the end, helping with her care. Tina will be missed deeply by all of her family and friends. We all loved her and her zest for life. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the National Aphasia Association P.O.
