Teara Jane Smith

Teara Jane Smith, age 25, became one of Gods angels on May 23, 2015 after a long battle with heart disease.  Teara was born on July 9, 1989.  Everyone who knew Teara could feel her warmth and beauty.  she adored her little brother Finn and earned her nickname, Mama T because of her love and assistance to the nurses caring for her foster brother and sisters, Donny, Ben, Shamyia, and Myracle.  Her purpose in life was to help others.  Tearas heart of gold was felt by everyone she came into contact with.  She loved swimming, biking, fishing with her brother, Tory, and most of all vacationing with her family.  Teara enjoyed watching WWE and collecting owls. Teara is survived by her parents, Jerry and Susan Smith; sisters, Jenny, Tammy (Melvin) Hanna, and Shanaya; special sisters, Toni and Kim; brothers, Todd, Tory, Jay, JC, Manny, Joseph, and Finn; nieces and nephews who will all miss her greatly, Maleah, T.J., Walker, Carson, Brooklyn, Markley, Ellyot, Tyler, Aaron, Leah, Noah, Addison, and Christian; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She will also leave behind friends, Amanda, Alyssa, Kate, and her special friend, Claire Hanely and her family who shared their lake house with her for many years.  Teara was preceded in death by her dear sister, Becky, grandpa Cousino, grandma and grandpa Brenner, baby David, Sean, Josh, uncle Ed and aunt Melissa, and many other family members and friends.  She was part of Team Smith and usually at the helm.  She will be greatly and whole heartedly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be Thursday,  May 28, 2015 from 2-9:00 pm with a 8:00 pm Rosary Service at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.).  Family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00-11:00 am at Little Flower Catholic Church 5562 Dorr St. Toledo, OH followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
