Taressa Tess L. Siefke, who had just celebrated her 12th birthday passed away Friday, February 20, 2015, at the Cincinnati Childrens Hospital. She fought her battle with Fanconi Anemia/Myelodisplastic Syndrome, which she overcame; but her immune system was weakened to a fungal disease which she couldnt overcome. Tess beat cancer by how she lived, why she lived and in the manner in which she lived; her spirit lives on in many hearts. Tess was born February 12, 2003, in Oregon, Ohio, to Trudy (Siefke) Almendinger and Bruce Campbell. She was baptized at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor and attended pre-school there for two years and was most recently affiliated with St. Paul United Church of Christ in Oak Harbor. In 2004 at the Oak Harbor Apple Festival, Tess placed 3rd in the Prettiest Baby Contest. She enjoyed tumbling at Class A Studio in Oak Harbor and also enjoyed camp fires and fireworks, and she loved all tigers. Tess was also a fan of Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. For her 12th birthday, she got to see warm wishes from all her classmates at school, which meant a lot to her and put a big smile on her face. Tesss loving family includes her mother, Trudy Almendinger and father, Bruce (Dawn) Campbell, sister, Tiffany (Jason) Henry, brother, Zachary Campbell and loving step sisters, Alicia (Nick) Menke and Brianna Swartz; her nephew, Xander Henry, maternal grandparents, Linda Siefke and the late Ronald Siefke, paternal grandparents, Robert and Ella Campbell, Grandma Mimi and many uncles, aunts and cousins. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Thursday, February 26, 2015, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor, with the family present 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 27, 2015, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 165 Toussaint St., Oak Harbor. Burial will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions to help with Tesss final expenses may be made in care of the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home. The family would like to especially thank the staffs of the Toledo and Cincinnati Childrens Hospitals for all their care, comfort and support for Tess.
