Tana J. Lenz, 56, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at her residence with family and friends by her side. She was born on August 16, 1955, in Dover, Delaware, to Naomi and Walter Gares and later adopted by Alfonso DePaula. She married Keith Lenz on March 20, 1976, and they raised two children. Tana was a lifetime member of the Ohio Farmers Union. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. She also enjoyed traveling. Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Keith, children, Charlene Thomas Higginbotham of Genoa, Michele Matthew Krumnow of Martin, grandchildren, Jacob Higginbotham and Lindsey Krumnow, mother, Naomi DeLemos of Florida, father, Walter Gares of Florida, and sister, Diana DePaula of Florida. Her sister, Naomi Warner, preceded her in death. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 23, 2011, at St. John Lutheran Church, Williston, with interment to follow in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston. Memorials for Tana may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 235, Williston, OH 43468; or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
