If you ever met Symini Rai Moore, you remember her smile. It was the kind that lit up a room instantly-the kind that made people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for without her ever having to say a word. At 15 years old, Symini carried kindness and compassion far beyond her years. Symini was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, girlfriend, and friend to all.
Symini passed away tragically January 23, 2026, leaving her family and community shattered by a loss that feels impossible to understand. She was a student at Woodmore High School, an honor roll student, and someone who poured her heart into everything she did-cheerleading, basketball, track, volleyball, wrestling, FFA, and choir. She showed up fully, supported others fiercely, and lifted people up simply by being herself.
At Granny's Kitchen, the family-owned business where Symini worked, customers didn't just come for the food-they came for her. She greeted everyone with warmth, treated people with genuine care, and left lasting impressions on those who walked through the door. Symini also loved babysitting her siblings and family members, protecting and nurturing younger children with patience, tenderness, and a huge heart.
She dreamed of becoming an OB nurse, wanting one day to care for mothers and babies, and she was counting down the days to getting her driver's permit-excited for the independence and future she had so carefully imagined. That future was full of promise, love, and purpose.
Symini leaves behind her mother, Brittany Taylor -Stanton (Blake Priest); siblings, Red "Lorealee", Charlotte, Vincent, and Emmanuel; grandparents, Cheryl, Dan, Laura, Earl, & Tom; great-grandparents, Judy & Robin; uncle, John; aunt, Angela (Steve) , great aunt, Tara; along with many close family members who love and adored her; countless friends, classmates, teammates, teachers, and community members whose lives are forever changed. She was preceded in death by her father, Jay Moore and Grammie and Grandpa Yelverton; and great grandpa, Dennis Smith.
The family will receive friends at Mainstreet Church, 5465 Moline - Martin Road, Walbridge, Ohio, 43465 Thursday, February 5, 2026, & Friday, February 6, 2026, from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Funeral services Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11:00 am at Mainstreet Church. Interment: Westwood Cemetery, Woodville Ohio. Expressions of sympathy may be directed in the form of donations to the Woodmore FFA.
Thank you for surrounding our family with compassion, grace, and support during the darkest days of their lives. We will never forget what you have done for us. Arrangements entrusted to Robinson Walker Funeral Home.
