Suzanne L. Walker, age 85 of Toledo, OH and Vineyard Lake, Brooklyn, Mi passed away on December 2, 2021. She was born in Toledo on January 24, 1936 to Leon and Laverne (Mossing) Ott. Sue graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1954 and married Jim Walker in February 1956. In Toledo, OH, Sue was very active at Blessed Sacrament Church, Start High School, and in the Curcillo Movement. Most of her career was spent as a market researcher for Sheller Globe Corporation and Lenawee Tomorrow Economic Development Corp. While working at Sheller Globe, she was President of the Northwestern Ohio Chapter of American Marketing Association and an officer in the Automotive Market Research Council. Sue loved living on Vineyard Lake and enjoyed quilting, sailing, biking, gardening, playing cards, tennis, and golf. She helped establish the Brooklyn Friends of the Library and their book club. She also loved travelling and was able to visit places around the country like Yosemite National Park and around the world like Bellagio, Italy. She and her husband Jim also enjoyed spending a couple of months each year on Jekyll Island, GA and loved the friends they made there. Sue will be dearly missed by her son Greg of Santa Barbara, CA; son Mike (wife Eileen), son Tom (wife Jean), grandchild Christopher (wife Beth), great grandchildren Ethan, Benjamin, and Carter of Toledo, OH; daughter Amy, of Alexandria, VA; brother Terry Ott of Boca Raton, FL; sister Mary Ellen Terrell of Corbin, KY; and sister Janet Smith of Pataskala, OH. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Sharon, and infant son, Kenneth. In keeping with Sue’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
