Suzanne Ruth Haase

Suzanne Ruth Haase, 77, went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2010. The lifelong Toledo, OH resident passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio surrounded by her family. Mrs. Haase was born Oct. 1, 1932, the daughter of Charles and Norma Hoffman deceased. She married George Frederick Haase on Feb. 20, 1960, who survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Haase is survived by three children spouse: Randy Haase Julie, Racine, Wis.; Mrs. Sharon Resultan Eric, Kennesaw, GA; and Dwight Haase Rabeah, Toledo; six grandchildren: Tara, Corinne, and Zach Haase, Sam and Christine Resultan, and Yahya Haase; and a sister, Mrs. Patricia Yonkee, Greenville, SC. A brother, Thomas O. Hoffman preceded her in death in 2007. Mrs. Haase was a graduate of Libbey High School and the University of Toledo, where she earned a Bachelors Degree in pharmacy. Her greatest achievement, however, was her family and 50-year marriage. After her first child was born, Sue decided to become a full-time homemaker, and give up her career in pharmacy. She was a dedicated, loving mother who had a unique ability to discipline in a loving manner, so her children recognized her authority and love. She loved to listen to the stories her children were anxious to tell her when they came home from school each day. She participated in school activities, helped with homework, and provided enthusiastic encouragement. She was an amazing and loving wife, as well. Services will be held at Westgate Chapel Monday, August 9, at 11:00am. The Rev. Larry Carey will officiate the funeral service. Friends may visit Walker Funeral Home Sunday, August 8, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. Burial services will take place immediately following the funeral service at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Cherry Street Mission Ministries, the Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Westgate Chapel in memory of Suzanne Haase.
