Suzanne Carol Casey

Suzanne Carol Ketzer Casey passed away suddenly but peacefully early Wednesday morning at The University of Toledo Medical Hospital. Sue was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 4, 1943. She attended St. John the Baptist, Central Catholic High School, and The University of Toledo where she was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority and obtained her Masters of Education. Sue taught at the elementary level for Millbury and Lake Local Schools for over 30 years. She is survived by her loving children: Patricia (Bruce) Edwards, Matthew Casey (Beth), Kathleen (Michael) Hart, Erin (Michael) Centa and her seven grandchildren Morgan Casey (19), Ellen Edwards (12), Olivia Hart (11), Casey Edwards (10), Madelyn Hart (9), Samuel Centa (8) and Katherine Centa (3). Sue is also survived by her siblings Diane (Marshall) Adams, Thomas Ketzer, Tim (Mary) Casey and Patrick (Ruth Ann) Casey. Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Cecelia Ketzer, husband Michael Casey and grandson Brandon Centa. Sue was an avid fan of all sports teams, but especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and University Toledo Rockets. She participated in a variety recreational card games, played in a weekly golf league and served on the social committee in her neighborhood. She also volunteered for her church and her community. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Sue’s name to the St. Louis Food Pantry located at 443 Sixth St., Toledo, Ohio Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio from 2-9 pm on Friday, April 7, 2017 with a scripture service starting at 7. Prayers will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in the funeral home with the Mass of Christian Burial to be held will be held at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee.
