Susie Uncapher, 71 of Maumee passed away peacefully on Saturday April 16 th surrounded by her loving family. Susie was born on April 27 th , 1950 to Fred and Marie (Petit) Dennis in Toledo, Ohio. Susie was a proud retiree of the Toledo Hospital where she worked for many years in marketing and physician services.
Susie had a gigantic presence and a vivacious personality. She brightened every room with her smile and humor. Her laugh was unmistakable and undeniably contagious. Susie found joy and saw beauty in even the smallest of life’s gifts. A perfect bloom; a freshly picked tomato from her garden; watching a sunset from her rocking chair.
Susie valued friends and family above all else. She made each and every person that she crossed paths with feel special and she went out of her way to do so. Susie was known as an excellent hostess and was always so very pleased to have a home filled with friends and family laughing often while sharing one of her fresh baked delights or home cooked meals. Susie was always the first person to send out a handmade get-well card or a bouquet of flowers from her yard that were immaculately arranged. Susie was thoughtful, kind and beyond generous with her time and her many talents.
Susie was fiercely proud of her children and grandchildren, and often spoke glowingly of their latest accomplishments. She always told everyone how blessed she was to be able to spend so much time with her children and grandchildren. The memories of special days at the zoo, holidays around the dining room table, or family trips abroad will live on in their lives forever.
Preceding Susie in death were her parents; her beloved husband Ivan T. Uncapher; brothers Jim Dennis, Walter Dennis, Robert Dennis, and Donald Dennis Sr. Surviving Susie are her sons Matthew “MJ” (Summer) Hill of Toledo, and David C. Hill of Columbus; grandsons Grant C. Hill of Toledo and Garrison N. Hill of Toledo; sister Joyce (Thomas) Drabek of Swanton; brother Michael J (Becky) Dennis of Toledo; companion Brad R. Seitz of Tiffin.
